Important notice
concerning e-mail
Because of the overwhelming problem of filtering out junk e-mails,
you will be sent a back a simple message that requires a human
response and
allows your message to get through. This is done by the internet
service provider because mass e-mail programs can't respond.
This allows me time to paint instead of spending all day on the
computer deleting spam.
Your e-mail address, will not be shared, sold,or used in any way
other than corresponding
with you concerning your questions, purchasing, or shipping arrangements.
Include your zip code if you wish to inquire about shipping.
Some original artwork is for
sale and some is now or may be available as giclées and
high resolution reproductions. Most are available on canvas
or cotton rag. It is hard to routinely update what is available
so just ask. NFS means not for sale. POR means price on request.
Some originals are framed. Prices are generally for unframed art
unless it is stated that the price includes the framing.
Smaller signed digital high resolution reproductions at a lower
cost may also be available now or in the future, depending on
requests.
These lower cost, smaller prints (starting around $45.00) are
done on acid free rag and printed with pigment based ink to insure
longevity.
The difference between these lesser expensive high resolution
digital prints and what would be considered fine art gicle'es
is basically the equipment used in capturing and printing the
image.
Because of laws regulating the
fine art print industry, which vary from state to state and change
from time to time,
along with record keeping, etc... none of these prints will be
produced as "limited editions" but rather as signed
open editions.
It is not my goal to put out a lot of quickly produced mass market
artwork so I don't expect a large number of prints of any one
image.
The prices of the original artworks, at the risk of over simplification,
are generally about three times my retail price of the same image
done as a gicle'e.
Also, my gicle'e prices are relatively and sometimes dramatically
cheaper than the industry.
A giclée (pronounced
z-clay' or zhee-clay) is a high quality fine art print, reproduced
by means of digitally capturing an image to a computer and printing
it
on canvas or fine art paper using a specialized ink jet printer.
Inks used are pigment based as opposed to die based which give
them
a fade resistant and water resistant quality that far surpasses
its offset lithographic predecessor. Giclée is French for
"spray" or "spurt" and describes the way
an ink jet printer sprays millions of tiny dots of color to achieve
an almost identical look of the original artwork.
Giclées are relatively new to the art world but are quickly
becoming the method of choice for reproducing works of art.
Because computerization is so precise, the finished giclée
retains shades, hues,
and dimensional appearances such as brushstrokes and textural
qualities.
Sizes listed on this site are
in inches and are for the most part rounded to the nearest quarter
inch.
There are image sizes, paper sizes (where applicable) and outer
dimensions, which would usually be the outside of the frame.
If certain size information is not listed, it probably isn't important...
or I forgot to list it.
Prices posted are in US dollars
and do not include packaging / insurance / shipping charges /
tariffs or taxes.
Prices are subject to change. You will be notified of any changes.
I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover through
PayPal.
You do not have to be a member of PayPal and this protects you
as a buyer. They handle currency conversion and all that stuff.
When total price is determined, you will be securely invoiced
through PayPal and make payment at that time. Very easy.
Sales tax of 7% will be added to sales inside the state of Georgia.
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. An extra effort has been made
on my part to see that the images on this site
truly represent the art as best I can, (considering file sizes,
the limited color palette on the internet, screen calibrations,etc...)
and I know you will be extremely pleased. If for some reason you
are not satisfied with your purchase a refund will be given to
your credit card
less shipping and handling. Artwork must be returned in original
condition.
If you like the images you see here you will be pleasantly surprised
by the details in the originals and prints. A computer screen
cannot do justice.
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of payment for order processing
and delivery. More than likely it will be much sooner.
In the rare event that a work is currently obligated to hang in
a gallery or show for a period of time, you will be notified.
Most of the giclées and digital prints are done on an as
needed basis.
Shipping and packaging will
vary depending on the artwork. The best method will be used so
that you receive your purchase without damage.
Most of the large canvas originals and reproductions can be shipped
rolled up and stretched by a framer after you receive it.
You will be notified of shipping and packaging charges as soon
as I can figure it out. I'm not trying to make money off shipping
but it
does take time and materials to do it right. If you go to USPS.com,
Fedex.com, or UPS.com you can get a rough idea about shipping
costs but remember, the packaging makes the item larger and heavier
and the cost of packaging materials must be considered.
Insurance is required for your protection since there is always
a risk of damage or loss in shipping.
Some of these
works can be seen or picked up at Green Lantern Frame Shop in
Carrollton, Georgia.
Reproduction of any images, artwork,
